Food Service: 21 meals per week, snacks available throughout the day (fruit, granola
bars, homemade cookies, microwave popcorn...); beverages during
the day including coffee, iced tea, hot tea; access at breaks and before
curfew to the Lodge refrigerator that has meals to be warmed up,
especially for their before-curfew chow down; banquets for special events; Thanksgiving feast
Supplies for the dormitory: Irons, ironing boards, laundry baskets, cleaning supplies, toilet tissue, paper towels
Athletic/Equipment Use: Swimming pool, weight rooms; boxing equipment, rowing machine, outdoor volleyball and basketball; treadmill; exercycle; miles of trails; TRX
Technology: internet where designated
Desktop computers: Bank of computers for student use
Printer: centralized printers available for all students. Students do not bring printers.
Office supplies: Centralized station of staplers, scissors, paper cutters, etc
Phone use: landlines available for academy and Congressional business
Transcripts: mailed to Congressional offices, universities, academies
Books: ebooks/textbooks are provided; hundreds of books available for Required Leisure Reading Program which is part of the English class
Parking: Cars are not allowed
Mailbox: Mail is distributed at mail call. Staff takes outgoing mail to the town post office. If students have special mailings to do (overnight nomination papers, for instance) students are transported to the post office.
Transportation: Staff members drive students to church, the doctor, the barber.
Uniforms/alterations: none needed. Students adhere to a business casual dress code.

Students are responsible for the following items.
Cellphone: students are permitted to bring cellphones at their own expense.
ACT: two tests (October and December)
SAT: three tests (October, November and December)
Laundry: Students use coin-operated machines in the dorms.
Event fees: Field trips
Personal school supplies: cost varies among students for notebooks, paper, pencils
